What we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the site and improve the experience:

• Account information — If you create an account, we store your email address and a user ID through Firebase Authentication. We use this to sign you in and associate your data (saved Pokémon, leaderboard stats) with your account.
• Leaderboard and app data — Roll counts, streak data, and leaderboard stats are stored in Firebase Firestore and linked to your account.
• Local preferences — We use your browser’s localStorage to remember settings like dark mode, upload counts, roll state, and planner configuration. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Cookies and tracking

We group cookies into three categories. You can manage your preferences at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the site footer.

Essential (always on)

• Firebase Authentication session — required to sign you in and keep you signed in.
• Local preferences stored in your browser (dark mode, planner settings, quiz progress) — never sent to a server.
• Cookie consent preference — remembers your choices so the banner doesn’t reappear.

These cannot be disabled because the site needs them to function.

Analytics (optional)

• Google Analytics (GA4) — helps us understand how the site is used (page views, session length, popular tools). Sets cookies including _ga, _ga_*, and _gid. Data is anonymized and aggregated. How Google uses data.

If you decline analytics, these cookies are not loaded and no usage data is collected.

Advertising (optional)

• Google AdSense — we display ads to support the site. When you accept advertising cookies, Google may use cookies such as __gads, __gpi, and IDE to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
• If you decline advertising cookies, ads still appear — they just won’t be personalized. No advertising tracking cookies are set in that case.

How we use your data

• To run the app and tools (grading, rolling, leaderboards)
• To remember your preferences and progress
• To understand site usage and improve the experience (analytics)
• To display ads that support the site (AdSense)

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not share your email with third parties for marketing.
• We do not store screenshots you upload — images are processed in your browser and never sent to a server.

Data retention

If you cancel your account, we keep your data for 90 days so you can resubscribe without losing anything. After 90 days, your data may be archived or deleted.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR including:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data.
• Portability — request your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent — change your cookie preferences at any time via the footer link, or contact us to withdraw other consent.
