Where they come from
Ingredients are produced when your helpers "help"—the game rolls whether they find berries (for Snorlax) or ingredients (for your bag).
Ingredient specialists find more ingredients and get 2× quantity on their first slot. Which ingredients a species can find is fixed: each species has ingredient A, B, and sometimes C (see ingredient spread). Each linked ingredient above goes to a page listing Pokémon who have it in slot A, B, or C — useful for planning a team around a specific recipe.
